BriefHours is designed with privacy at its core. We collect only what's necessary to provide the service, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

When you use BriefHours, we collect:

• Telegram user ID — To identify your account and link your data.
• Voice notes — Temporarily processed to extract time entries, then permanently deleted.
• Time entries — The entries you confirm, including case name, hours, activity, and date.
• Subscription data — Payment status via Stripe (we never see your card details).

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to:

• Process voice notes and extract time entries
• Store and display your confirmed entries
• Generate reports and exports
• Send daily reminders (if enabled)
• Process subscription payments

Voice note processing

Voice notes are sent to our secure processing pipeline. We use AI to transcribe the audio and extract relevant details. Once processed, the audio file is permanently deleted. We do not store voice recordings.

Data storage

Your time entries are stored on UK-based infrastructure. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices.

Third parties

We share data only with:

• Telegram — To receive your messages and voice notes.
• OpenAI — To process voice transcription and extraction (no data retained by OpenAI).
• Stripe — To process payments (they handle all card data).

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

Your rights

You can:

• Export your data — Download all your time entries at any time.
• Delete your account — Request deletion of all your data.
• Correct errors — Edit or delete any time entry.

Data retention

We retain your time entries for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days. Voice notes are never retained — they're deleted immediately after processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via Telegram.
